Plastics technology centre Aimplas (Valencia / Spain; www.aimplas.net) is holding four webinars free of charge, which will take place between 15 and 18 June 2020. The webinars cover plastics-related issues in the medical sector, the automotive industry, recycling and carbon dioxide emissions.
Hosted by Aimplas health group researcher Raquel Llorens, the first webinar on 15 June will discuss plastics applications and solutions in the medical sector, where the potential for new applications was already seen before the coronavirus pandemic. The second webinar will take place on 16 June. Livia López, a researcher at the Aimplas Physical and Mechanical Characterization Laboratory, will address the role of quality control in the automotive industry as a key factor to achieving goals in carbon dioxide emissions and the functionality of paints and coatings. In the webinar on 17 June, Aimplas chemical recycling researcher Pablo Ferrero will cover new plastics recycling technologies, including chemical, biological, enzymatic and thermal recycling. The fourth webinar will be held on 18 June, with Aimplas decarbonisation researcher Adolfo Benedito discussing the role of plastics in reducing carbon dioxide emissions as well as presenting current Aimplas projects to that effect.
