Thai plastic components unit sold to Singaporean company / Strategy to focus on automotive sector
Swiss injection moulder Adval Tech (Niederwangen; www.advaltech.com) has sold its plastic components unit Adval Tech (Thailand), to Sunningdale Tech (Singapore; www.sdaletech.com) as part of its strategy to concentrate on the automotive industry. Financial details of the deal signed on 4 September 2018 were not disclosed.
Adval Tech manufactures high-volume components in metal and plastic. Its Thai unit produces plastic parts particularly for the consumer goods industry and currently employs about 80 people.
Sunningdale, a manufacturer of precision plastic components, has 20 factories in Singapore, Malaysia, China, Latvia, Mexico, Indonesia, Thailand, India and Brazil. In 2017, the Singapore-based company generated sales reaching around EUR 465m.
