New antioxidants for PP compounds and regrind
US speciality additives supplier Addivant (Danbury, Connecticut; www.addivant.com) has launched a new series of antioxidants for PP compounders and recyclers. The "Ultranox" 800 series (813, 815 and 817) of antioxidants have good storage properties at high temperatures, as well as improved process and colour stability. The 800 series was developed as an alternative to the phenolic/phosphite "AO 225" and "AO 215" blends that are used in the stabilisation of PP compounds.
