New name for Alcan Composites

As announced at the end of March – see Plasteurope.com of 29.03.2010 – Alcan Composites, following its takeover by machine manufacturer Schweiter Technologies (Horgen / Switzerland; www.schweiter.com), has been renamed 3A Composites Holding AG (Sins / Switzerland; www.3acomposites.com). Also operating under the roof of the 3A Composites Core Materials division (www.corematerials.3AComposites.com) are subsidiaries Airex (Sins / Switzerland; www.alcanairex.com) and Baltek (Northvale, New Jersey / USA).
In Europe, Asia and North and South America, 3A Composites employs a total of around 3,000 people. Last year, Alcan Composites posted pro forma sales of CHF 680m (equivalent to EUR 450m).
