Bayer MaterialScience (BMS, Leverkusen / Germany; www.bayerbms.com) and Malibu Plastica (Ahmedabad / India; www.malibuplastica.com) have established an Indian joint venture for polycarbonate sheet. The alliance will enable the German major to leverage Malibu’s production capacities, marketing expertise and distribution channels to position its products on the Indian subcontinent, said Stephan Gerlich, managing director of Bayer in India.

The portfolio of the new Bayer Malibu Polymers Private Limited will include solid, multiwall and corrugated sheets, as well as thermoformed PC sheet used in construction (horizontal and vertical glazing), communications (outdoor signs) and mass transportation (windows and interior fittings).
