Lotte Daesan Petrochemical, part of Honam Petrochemical (Seoul / South Korea; www.hpc.co.kr), will use the "Ripple Tray" technology of the Shaw Group (Baton Rouge, Lousiana / USA; www.shawgrp.com) for an ethylene revamp project at its naphtha cracker at Daesan / South Korea. The expansion of capacity from 600,000 t/y to 1m t/y is scheduled for completion in summer 2008. Investment costs have not been disclosed. The integrated site at Daesan also produces 3.3m t/y of aromatics and additives.
