EUR 25m investment for expanding additive production in Germany

Speciality chemicals company Brüggemann (Heilbronn / Germany; www.brueggemann.com) is expanding its additive manufacturing capacity in Heilbronn. Its new plant will start up in 2019 and output should be doubled, said CEO Josef Berghofer to local media. A company spokeswoman declined to comment on the expansion plans.

According to media reports, the German company's 150th anniversary in 2018 sees it investing EUR 25m for the expansion of its production facilities. Producing plastic additives, industrial chemicals and alcohols, Brüggemann generates annual sales of around EUR 130m. At its main plant in Heilbronn, the company's workforce comprises about 200 employees, and another 20 employees work at branches in Wittenberg / Germany, Hong Kong and Newton Square, Pennsylvania / USA.
