In 2018, semi-finished products specialist Röchling Engineering Plastics (Haren / Germany) will invest approximately EUR 20m in its main plant. Parent company Röchling (Mannheim / Germany; www.roechling.com) confirmed to Plasteurope.com that with the opening of a new hall “22” in the second quarter of 2018, it will add 5,000 m² of floor space for technical service, a training and an electrical workshop, tool engineering, as well as plant construction and a warehouse. By the end of 2018, hall “23”, which is still in the design stage, will allow the company to extend production. For 2019, the company has plans of building a new development centre, which upon completion will also serve branches in Asia and the US.

From 2013 to the end of 2018, Röchling Haren is investing a total of around EUR 45m. Among other things, the company has upgraded its machinery and equipment in recent years and has also significantly expanded its production. In parallel, turnover and workforce have risen continuously. Currently, 740 employees are working in Haren, of which 49 are trainees. The location’s annual turnover amounts to approximately EUR 260m.

Within the Röchling group, the Haren subsidiary is the leading company in the Industries division, and is responsible for 41 locations around the world. The division has a sales volume of more than EUR 800m. In the next year alone, investments of EUR 70m are planned.
