Alessandro Paini follows Vezio Bernardi as the general manager of Sacmi Beverage (Imola / Italy; www.sacmi.com). A mechanical engineer, Paini has coordinated the company’s R&D and managed its global product portfolio in the past.

Bernardi led the Beverage division for almost five years, including during the takeover of Defranceschi Italia, thereby positioning Sacmi Beverage into the wine-making sector. He will now head the group’s Closures & Containers division.

Current general manager of the Closures & Containers division, Giuseppe Lesce, is taking over as the general manager of the newly-established Customer Services Division. He will coordinate the Sacmi network to develop after-market services for the group’s businesses.
