The European Plastics Converters (EuPC, Brussels / Belgium; www.eupc.org) recently created an independent association, Vinyl Films and Sheets Europe (VFSE). The VFSE is open to all companies active in the vinyl films and sheets business in the region, and its mission is to represent the interests of European suppliers of plastic sheets, films and foils. It will drive action tackling the environment and recycling issues and carry out industry-related studies.

At its first meeting in November 2016, Roberto Bozzi from Vulcaflex (Italy) was elected president and Michel Py from Cifra (France) was elected vice-president. Additional board members are José Teixeira (TMG, Portugal), Emanuel Legrand (Griffine, France), Joao Ronchel (Alkor Draka, The Netherlands) and Marino Umberti (Alfatherm, Italy), all representing key European industry manufacturers.

"Raising the visibility of the economic and practical value of vinyl films and sheets is a further purpose of our formation," says Bozzi.
