The Spanish Association of Plastics Converters (ANAIP, Madrid; www.anaip.es) and the European Plastics Converters (EuPC, Brussels / Belgium; www.plasticsconverters.eu) will stage the Annual Meeting for the European plastic industry in Madrid, 1-2 June 2017. The two associations represent plastics converters at both the national and European levels, and will bring over 200 plastics converters from all over Europe together for the two days. Market division meetings will focus on the packaging, automotive and construction industries.

During the conference, Spanish and European government representatives and industry owners will offer participants insider knowledge and invite exchange on the latest trends. The theme, “A Circular Future with Plastics”, is based on the growing importance of waste prevention, reuse and recycling. “This comes fitting in a year where major European policy developments on the circular economy are expected to unfold,” Alexandre Dangis, EuPC managing director says. The conference venue is the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade, ICEX, and on 1 June, a gala dinner at the renowned opera house Teatro Real will give stage to the “Best Polymer Producers Awards” – see Plasteurope.com of 27.02.2017.
