CHINAPLAS
Close to 55,000 visitors on day two / Headed for new attendance record
As usual, a much higher number of visitors flocked to the fairgrounds on the second day of “Chinaplas” (www.chinaplasonline.com). A staggering 54,823 people came to the Shanghai fairgrounds, bringing the cumulative total after two days to 95,087. Of these, 24,132 or about 25% came from abroad, the latest figures published by fair organiser Adsale (Hong Kong / China; www.adsale.com.hk) show.
“It is clear to us that we will surpass our pre-show estimate for a total of 140,000 visitors,” Adsale chairman Stanley Chu told Plasteurope.com. The last time Chinaplas was held in Shanghai, it attracted slightly more than 130,000 visitors. Last year’s fair in Guangzhou drew about 128,000 attendees.
