US automotive injection moulder US Farathane (Auburn Hills, Michigan; www.usfarathane.com) has acquired Boston Plastics, a Shanghai / China-headquartered manufacturer of plastic injected moulded components and assemblies for the automotive, industrial and consumer markets with production facilities in Shanghai, Taicang and Changchun. We are equally excited about the Boston Plastics acquisition. (...) This latest acquisition enables us to directly participate in the large and growing China market.”
US Farathane has 16 manufacturing facilities in the US, Mexico and China and provides solutions to North American automotive OEMs, offering functional black plastic as well as interior and exterior plastic components. Customers include FCA, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Toyota and several other large global OEMs, the company said.
