First “Cyclitech” conference on composites in bicycle technology to be held in Brussels in December

The first international conference on bicycle technology, “Cyclitech” (www.cyclitech.events), will take place on 8 and 9 December 2015 in Brussels / Belgium. Organised by JEC Group (Paris / France; www.jeccomposites.com) and the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE, Bethel, Connecticut / USA; www.4spe.org), the two-day event will focus on the niche market of composites in bicycles.
The wide array of speakers from Europe, Asia and the Americas will discuss matters of safety and performance on the first day of the event, while the second day will focus on the contribution of high-end racing bikes to mass production bikes. All presentations will centre on ways in which composite materials contribute to bicycle technology. The Union Cycliste Internationale (Aigle / Switzerland; www.uci.ch) is a partner to the conference.
The organisers have already received such a high number of registrations that they have started planning a second edition, to be held in the US next year.
