Acquisition of Germany's Mondi Osterburken plant now done and dusted
Plastic films producer Polifilm Extrusion (Wermelskirchen / Germany; www.polifilm.de) has announced closure of the deal to take over the German Mondi site in Osterburken (see Plasteurope.com of 30.07.2015).
As a result of the transaction, Polifilm will strengthen its market position in technical films. "In the next step, we will work on a smooth integration and focus on value-adding synergies and growth opportunities," says Jörg Wingefeld, head of the Technical Films division at Polifilm. The German company has 16 production sites around the world and employs some 1,400 people.
