Complex design of cap adds to on-shelf presence of “Joy Forever” perfume

RPC Beauté (Marolles les Braults / France; www.rpc-beaute.com), part of UK packaging group RPC (Rushden; www.rpc-group.com), has created a luxury cap for the recently launched “Joy Forever” perfume from French perfumery Jean Patou.
Using advanced manufacturing and decoration processes, the closure, which features a wide top and intricate detail on the stem to complement the attractive square-curved bottle, is injection moulded in ABS. The complex design involves the manufacture and assembly of several different components.
High-end decoration using electroplating and hot stamping with a double-sided film creates the gold finish to give the perfume a premium image and helps to maximise on-shelf presence, the company said.
