Sixth “Wood Plastic Composites Conference” to be held in Cologne in December
The sixth edition of the annual “Wood Plastic Composites Conference” (www.wpc-conference.com) will take place in Cologne / Germany on 16 and 17 December this year. Illustrating the event’s rising internationality, for the first time the conference language will be English. In another deviation from established custom, this year’s event will also address natural fibre composites (NFCs) and bio-based plastics as a matrix for bio-composites.
Key themes at the event, organised by nova-Institut (Hürth / Germany; www.nova-institut.eu), are innovative WPC and NFC solutions in construction, furniture, automotive applications as well as consumer goods. The conference will also provide an overview of the WPC and NFC markets, which reached 260,000 t and 92,000 t respectively in 2012, and look at current trends. In addition, the conference will present the “Wood and Natural Fibre Composite Innovation Award 2015”.
