“Chemical Safety Assessment under REACH” course held at Utrecht University in June
As part of its summer school programme, Utrecht University (Utrecht / The Netherlands; www.uu.nl/en) is putting together a four-day course called “Chemical Safety Assessment under REACH”. Held from 16-19 June this year, the course will provide an introduction into chemical safety assessment as required by the European Union’s REACH legislation, focusing on the regulatory background as well as risk characterisation and effects.
Divided into two parts, the first two days will provide a general overview of the legislation, regulatory processes and chemical safety assessment. Participants can choose to add another two days during which more in-depth and hands-on training will be provided on how to perform a chemical safety assessment using the tools available.
The course will consist of lectures, assignments, computer tutorials as well as case studies. For more information, contact Mieke Lumens, Tel: +31 302539447, e-mail: m.lumens@uu.nl
