German distributor brings Biesterfeld Nordic fully into its fold / Acquisition of 50% jv stake from Fred Holmberg
In a deal the financial details of which were not disclosed, German distributor Biesterfeld Plastic (Hamburg / Germany; www.biesterfeld-plastic.com) on 1 December acquired the 50% stake held by Fred Holmberg (Limhamm / Sweden; www.holmberg.eu) in their 50:50 Biesterfeld Nordic (Malmö / Sweden) joint venture. The deal also includes the group’s subsidiary in Hamina / Finland.
Commenting on the purchase, Biesterfeld Nordic managing director Jens Imbeck said, “Our aim is to expand further in Scandinavia, and to extend our product portfolio to enter new segments and branches.” To that end, the group plans to strengthen its sales team next year, he added.
