NOVOMER
Reschem Italia appointed authorised distributor of “Converge” polyols in Italy / Expanding European market presence
After making its entry into Europe by appointing Quimidroga (Barcelona / Spain; www.quimidroga.com) as the new distributor of its "Converge" polypropylene carbonate (PPC) polyols in Spain, Portugal, and Turkey (see Plasteurope.com of 18.07.2014), US sustainable polymers producer Novomer (Waltham, Massachusetts; www.novomer.com) is following suit with another marketing agreement covering Italy. The Waltham-based producer has named Reschem Italia (Villastanza di Parabiago / Italy; www.reschemitalia.it) the authorised distributor of its PPC polyols in the south European country.
The deal applies to Novomer’s 1,000 and 2,000 molecular weight Converge PPCs used in polyurethane formulations, including adhesives, coatings, sealants, elastomers as well as rigid and flexible foams. The US company said that following strong demand for its portfolio – based on the co-polymerisation of carbon dioxide and epoxide – it is preparing a number of additional distribution agreements. Converge is designed to replace conventional petroleum-based polyether, polyester and polycarbonate polyols.
