New automotive components production site to open in Hungary
Composite materials provider Gurit (Zurich / Switzerland; www.gurit.com) plans to open a new site in Hungary for the production of components for the European bus and automotive industry. Operations at the new site are expected to start in April 2014, and staff will be trained in the UK. Gurit has appointed Gábor Balogh as site manager of the newly created Hungarian company.
Gurit said its composite systems and engineering business unit currently operates a tooling facility in Taicang / China and an automotive manufacturing and a prototyping site in the Isle of Wight / UK.
