At its first board meeting, the PETCORE Europe association (Brussels / Belgium; https://petcore-europe.org) has named Patrick Peuch its new executive director and confirmed Roberto Bertaggia in his position as chairman. Prior to joining the association, Peuch gained experience in polymers and chemicals through business as well as in environmental affairs, recycling and product regulatory management in Europe.
PETCORE (PET COntainer REcycling) Europe replaces the old Petcore association. The new organisation strives to represent and enhance growth of the PET industry. In addition, it plans to convey the importance of the PET value chain to European institutions in Brussels. It also will continue to guarantee increase in post-consumer PET recycling for a more sustainable PET value chain.
The primary members of PETCORE come from PET manufacturers, EuPC (Brussels / Belgium; www.plasticsconverters.eu) including Forum PET Europe and PET converters as well as recyclers.
