All systems go for India production site
German window profile manufacturer Profine (Troisdorf; www.profine-group.de) has recently christened its new production site in Vadodara / India. The company says it has invested a total of more than EUR 4m in the 14,000 m2 location. The new production facility manufactures German-quality systems marketed specifically in India.

The plant, in the northwestern state of Gujarat, runs three extrusion lines producing country-specific profiles with a capacity of 3,000 t/y. With a subsidiary based in New Delhi, the German company has been active in India for six years and is regarded as a leading profile importer ("Kömmerling" brand) in the market. Meanwhile, Gujarat has become a centre for Indian plastics manufacturing.

“The production plant in Vadodara is a clear sign of our commitment to the Indian market and to its extraordinary growth opportunities,” said Peter Mrosik, owner and Profine Group CEO, at the facility’s opening ceremonies.

With 1.7m citizens, Vadodara is one of the country’s emerging metropolises and is regarded as a significant trade and logistics centre. The city has also been expanding for some time as an industrial location.
