Eastman appoints new CEO Mark J. Costa

The board of directors at Eastman Chemical (Kingsport, Tennessee / USA; www.eastman.com) have appointed Mark J. Costa executive vice president as the new president effective immediately and CEO effective 1 January 2014. Costa succeeds James P. Rogers, who will work as executive chairman of the board, as of 1 January 2014.
Currently, Costa is head of the company’s additives & functional products and advanced materials segments as well as chief marketing officer. Prior to Eastman, he was a senior Partner with Monitor Group’s integrated North American and global client service networks.
