Plant manufacturer Uhde Inventa-Fischer (Berlin / Germany; www.uhde-inventa-fischer.com) has raised its product portfolio so that its service now covers the entire lifecycle of polyester and polyamide plants, while also enhancing their performance, the group announced on 28 November.

There are several services that are part of this new portfolio, including capacity boosting, specifically with regard to optimising both polyester and polyamide plants. Another new offering is changing polyester feedstock production from DMT to PTA. The German plant manufacturer also said it can retrofit PA 6.6 plants to include an integrated continuous process for the production of AH salt from hexmethylenediamine and adipic acid within the facility.

The new service portfolio also includes what the group calls a “pilot plant service”, applicable for PET, PBT, co-polyester and PLA facilities, which allows customers to familiarise themselves with Uhde Inventa-Fischer’s proprietary service through trials. The expansion is completed by the offer of retrofitting existing facilities to the group’s “Flakes-To-Resin” (FTR) recycling technology, which – the company says – allows producers to use up to 50% recycling materials without adversely affecting their end product’s quality.
