Building new plastomer and elastomer plant in Ulsan
Media reports indicate that SK Global Chemical (Seoul / South Korea; www.skchem.com) plans to commission its new USD 345m polyolefin plastomer and polyolefin elastomer plant, construction of which recently began, in early 2014. Once on stream, the facility will have a nameplate capacity of 230,000 t/y of "Nexlene" PE metallocene grades, used in heat seal layers for packaging and to modify PP injection moulding materials.
