THYSSENKRUPP
Plastics businesses reorganised under new brand
ThyssenKrupp has combined all its semi-finished plastics activities in a new company – ThyssenKrupp Plastics International. Part of ThyssenKrupp Plastics (TK Plastics, Düsseldorf; www.thyssenkrupp-plastics.de), the new division brings together Cadillac Plastic, König Kunststoffe and Otto Wolff Kunststoffe as well as the plastics business of ThyssenKrupp Schulte. The restructuring became possible after the 2008 acquisition of the remaining shares in ThyssenKrupp Röhm Kunststoffe from Evonik Röhm (Darmstadt / Germany; www.evonik.com).
ThyssenKrupp Plastics International will control 15 companies in 10 European countries. The management board comprises Jürgen Westphal (chairman), Falk Majert (domestic business) and Klaus Roth (international business). Westphal said the aim of the restructuring and renaming is to further establish the ThyssenKrupp brand in the plastics services business. “ThyssenKrupp Plastics represents a completely new form of trading and distribution company for semi-finished products. We have a professional marketing team and a closely knit logistics network.”
