Borealis (Vienna / Austria; www.borealisgroup.com) has appointed Sirmax (Cittadella / Italy; www.sirmax.eu) as its distributor in Italy for advanced polyolefins used in thin-wall containers, caps and closures and healthcare packaging.

The Italian distributor and compounder will handle orders for processors operating with injection moulding, blow moulding and extrusion technologies. Wim Roels, vice president of Borealis’ moulding business, said the partnership “should provide us with extra leverage to increase our Italian sales in such key segments advanced packaging and healthcare."
