Karl-Martin Schellerer on 14 July joined Westlake Chemical (Houston, Texas / USA; www.westlake.com) as vice president and general manager of German PVC producer Vinnolit (Ismaning; www.vinnolit.com). Before his most recent job as a consultant, Schellerer had worked for several years at Vinnolit.

On 1 November he will also replace current Vinnolit managing director Josef Ertl, who will go into retirement. Ertl has been the group’s CEO since 2001, and oversaw its sale to Westlake last year (see Plasteurope.com of 01.08.2014). He also held a number of positions in the European PVC industry, including chairman of VinylPlus, Vinyl 2010 and ECVM, and currently serves as chairman of PlasticsEurope Deutschland.
