Data storage solutions specialist Verbatim (Europe: Egham, Surrey / UK; www.verbatim.com) will be presenting a range of plastic fibres for use in 3D printers at the upcoming “IFA” consumer electronics fair (http://b2b.ifa-berlin.com), held from 5-10 September in Berlin / Germany.
From early September onwards, the company will make available throughout Europe PLA filaments with a diameter of 1.75 and 3 mm as well as ABS with a diameter of 1.75 mm. The filaments are vacuum packaged, and sold on 1 kg reels. The polymers are currently manufactured in Japan, some of them by Verbatim parent company Mitsubishi.
