Velox (Hamburg / Germany; www.velox.com) and the Thailand-based subsidiary of Life Material Technologies (Hong Kong; www.life-materials.com) have agreed on a sales distribution partnership that allows the German company to exclusively market "Life" antimicrobial additives and treatments in some European countries. Velox, a distributor of raw material specialities for the plastics, composites, additives, paints and coatings industries, said the tie-up enables it to address new markets for compounding, extrusion and injection moulding applications.

Life's organic and inorganic antimicrobial additives and tailor-made masterbatches for different polymer processing requirements will be sold in Germany, Austria, Switzerland as well as the Benelux and Nordic regions. The Life additives comply with the EU Biocidal Products Regulation "EU BPR 528/2012". The key markets are home appliance goods, bathware products and textiles where elimination of bacteria, fungi, algae and other microorganisms is of great importance.
