Distributing Lubrizol's “Pearlthane” and “Pearlcoat” TPUs in Spain
Germany’s Velox (Hamburg; www.velox.com) has extended its agreement with US speciality chemicals producer Lubrizol (Wickliffe, Ohio; www.lubrizol.com) and in January 2015 began distributing “Pearlthane” and “Pearlcoat” TPUs in Spain. The grades are manufactured by Lubrizol Advanced Materials FKA Merquinsa (Barcelona / Spain; www.merquinsa.com) and became part of Lubrizol’s portfolio following its acquisition of the erstwhile Merquinsa (see Plasteurope.com of 03.01.2012).
The agreement builds on the one the two companies entered into in June last year (see Plasteurope.com of 16.06.2014), as a result of which Velox began marketing "Pearlthane", "Pearlcoat", “Pearlbond” and “Pearlstick” in France, the UK, Ireland, Italy, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Romania, Poland, the Benelux states as well as other central and eastern European markets.
Velox has been distributing Lubrizol’s “Estane” elastomeric thermoplastics polyurethanes, “Estaloc” reinforced engineering TPUs and “Isoplast” engineered thermoplastics for the past 12 years.
