SIRMAX
Distributing Borealis' advanced polyolefins in France / Pan-European marketing deal extended
Building on their existing collaboration in a number of European countries, Borealis (Vienna / Austria; www.borealisgroup.com) has appointed Sirmax (Cittadella / Italy; www.sirmax.com) as distributor of its advanced polyolefins in France. The materials are used in thin-wall containers, caps and closures as well as healthcare packaging.
Sirmax has been distributing Borealis’ product range in Italy since 2009 (see Plasteurope.com of 26.01.2009), and in 2010 also started marketing the range in Germany and Poland (see Plasteurope.com of 26.04.2011). Commenting on the agreement, Rainer Hoefling, vice president Polyolefin Sales at the Austrian group, said, “More than ever, we will be able to ensure the seamless alignment between supplier and distributor and accentuate our strong focus on application development, particularly in the advanced packaging market, but also in the increasingly vital segment of healthcare applications.”
