Petrochemical group appoints former DuPont CEO Charles Holliday as chairman
Charles 'Chad' Holliday has been appointed chairman of leading global petrochemical group Royal Dutch Shell (London / UK; www.shell.com) with effect from the conclusion of the company's 2015 AGM, provisionally scheduled for 14 May.
He was appointed as a non-executive director of the company in September 2010 and is currently chairman of Shell's corporate and social responsibility committee and a member of the remuneration committee. Previously, he was CEO of US chemicals giant DuPont (Wilmington, Delaware; www.dupont.com) from 1998 to 2009, and chairman from 1999 to 2009.
Holliday will succeed Jorma Ollila, who will step down from the board with effect from the conclusion of the 2015 AGM, having served as chairman for nine years.
