New PIR insulation panels plant opened in France / Company says business growing at 12% annually
Recticel (Brussels / Belgium; www.recticel.com) has officially opened its new EUR 23m plant for high performance rigid polyurethane foam insulation (PIR) panels at Bourges / France. This is the company’s third production facility for the panels, which are also produced at Wevelgem / Belgium and Stoke-on-Trent / UK. The products used in new construction and renovation applications, will be marketed under the trade names “Eurothane”, “Eurotoit”, “Eurosol”, “Powerdeck” and “Powerwall”.
The Belgian manufacturer points to growing structural demand for high performance PU insulation products, due to tighter standards (particularly in Europe) and higher energy prices. From 2006 to 2012, Recticel’s insulation business has grown at more than 12% annually, with sales totalling EUR 223.1m in 2011.
