US compounder and distributor PolyOne (Cleveland, Ohio; www.polyone.com) has opened a manufacturing plant in Pune / India. The company announced its intention to build the facility in the Ranjangaon industrial zone in October 2013 – see Plasteurope.com of 21.10.2013. The plant manufactures speciality solid masterbatch and liquid colour and additive formulations. The facility incorporates development laboratories and the sales and customer service centre for the region. Output from the facility serves multiple end user markets, including transport, healthcare, wire and cable and packaging, the company said.
