Bayer expands Apichem stake
Bayer SpA (C.P. 1243, I-2010 Milano / MI), subsidiary of the Bayer group (D-51368 Leverkusen), plans to expand its holding in Apichem SpA of Mussolente by 25% to a majority stake of 74%. Apichem, which formulates polyurethane systems for building and automotive, sport shoe and refrigeration applications, had sales of Lire 35.6bn in 1995. Bayer said closer ties with Apichem will support its PU business group's efforts to work more closely with regional customers.
