PLASTIC FANTASTIC
A whole new kind of wrapping
Seeking protection from the seasonal taifuns, cars in China’s Guangdong province can now ride out the storm protected by a huge plastic wrap. Rather than wrapping their cars around something, the ingenious idea is meant to keep rain and water at bay and ensure the vehicles can escape the weather. Elsewhere in the world, the concept of a car in a sandwich bag is not such a welcome sight. A man in California / USA recently was arrested for wrapping his co-worker’s vehicle in plastic and pasting warning signs on the vehicle. The bomb squad was called and the culprit now has to stand trial for illegal wrapping.
