Podesta new senior vice president of BASF Dispersions & Pigments in North America
BASF (Ludwigshafen / Germany; www.basf.com) has appointed Gerry Podesta as senior vice president of its Dispersions & Pigments business in North America, effective 1 November 2014. He succeeds Derek Fairclough, who has been named head of BASF’s North American Environmental, Health, Safety & Security organisation, also with effect from 1 November.
Podesta, who holds a degree in plastics engineering, previously served as senior vice president for BASF’s Performance Materials business in North America and prior to that as a group vice president for the Performance Chemicals business. He joined BASF in 2003 after 20 years at GE Plastics Americas.
