Russell Broome named managing director at SPE

The US-based Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE, Bethel, Connecticut; www.4spe.org) has a new managing director with Russell Broome taking over the reins. With more than 25 years of industry experience, Broome has held roles in sales and marketing as well as global business development with LNP Engineering Plastics, GE Plastics, and PolyOne.
In his most recent role, he had been working as an engineer in a purchasing function focused on strategic sourcing for plastics at TE Connectivity. He has been a member of SPE for 20 years providing volunteer leadership and serving as president of the society in 2011-2012.
