Global packaging giant Coveris (Chicago, Illinois / USA; www.coveris.com) has appointed Gary Masse as new CEO. He will assume the position on 14 April, succeeding Jack Knott, who will stay on as non-executive director on the company’s board. Masse joins the company – created last year through the merger of five leading European and North American packaging producers (see Plasteurope.com of 21.11.2013) – from Precision Partners, where he also held the position of chief executive.

When announcing the appointment, David Mezzanozze, managing director of Coveris owner Sun Capital Partners (Boca Raton, Florida / USA; www.suncappart.com), said Coveris expects its Q1 2014 sales levels to rise by 2-4%, while EBITDA is anticipated to increase by 18-20% year-on-year.
