New managing director for BASF Polyurethanes South Africa

The South African Polyurethanes business unit of German chemical giant BASF (Ludwigshafen; www.basf.com) has appointed Christian Mirangels its new managing director. He succeeds Andrew Bailey, who has been appointed managing director of BASF West Africa and will focus on business development in the region.
Mirangels' he has held several senior positions within BASF, including managing director of BASF Polyurethanes Turkey. In his new position, he will focus on business development within South and Sub-Saharan Africa.
