In a move aimed at offering more distribution flexibility to its PU customers in Taiwan, BASF (Ludwigshafen / Germany; www.basf.com) has signed a letter of intent to enter into a distribution agreement with Nagase Wahlee Plastics Corporation (Taipei / Taiwan; www.nwp.com.tw). Under the terms of the deal, the latter will distribute the German group’s PU solutions and injection moulding grades for thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs) in the country.

Specialised in the distribution of high-performance materials, Nagase Wahlee Plastics is a joint venture between Nagase (Tokyo / Japan; www.nagase.co.jp) and Wah Lee Industrial Corporation (Kaohsiung / Taiwan). Founded in 1990, the group operates three sites in Taiwan – in Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung. It also has two subsidiaries in China, located in Shanghai and Guangdong.
