LUBRIZOL
Showcasing aliphatic TPUs at "Chinaplas"
US speciality chemicals producer Lubrizol (Wickliffe, Ohio; www.lubrizol.com) is putting the spotlight on its new and improved moulding grades for electronics, industrial, automotive, as well as sports and recreation applications at the upcoming "Chinaplas" exhibition (www.chinaplasonline.com), held on 23-26 April in Shanghai. Visitors to the company’s N2F41 booth at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre will have an opportunity to learn the latest advancements to its integrated aliphatic thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) range, launched at the beginning of April – see Plasteurope.com of 01.04.2014.
The Berkshire Hathaway entity has improved the UV and staining resistance in „Pearlthane 91T85", which is part of Merquinsa's (Montmelo / Spain; www.merquinsa.com) aliphatic TPUs used for moulding and commercially known as estane engineered polymers.
Junkers Wang, regional industrial market segment manager at Lubrizol, says “apart from obtaining good haptics, the new TPU grades show improvement in mechanical properties.”
Lubrizol owns and operates production facilities in 17 countries and employs some 7,500 individuals worldwide. In 2013 it had revenues of USD 6.4 bn.
