Following its April 2014 takeover of Italian distributor Pietro Carini (Milan; www.carini.it) – see Plasteurope.com of 10.04.2014 – Krahn Chemie (Hamburg / Germany; www.krahn.de) has added US producer Ferro (Cleveland, Ohio / USA; www.ferro.com) to its client list. In January 2015, the German distributor started marketing the company’s Belgian subsidiary’s speciality plasticisers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland and the Benelux countries. The dibenzoates, plasticisers and benzyl phthalates produced by Ferro (Belgium) (Mont-Saint-Guibert / Belgium) will be distributed by Krahn Chemie subsidiaries ICH Benelux and Krahn Chemie Polska in the Benelux region and Poland respectively.

Ferro’s speciality products are used across a broad range of applications, including flexible PVC, paints and coatings, adhesives, caulks and sealants.
