Multi-billion dollar joint venture signed with China's Yanfeng / Operations to start in July 2015
Automotive supplier Johnson Controls (JCI, Milwaukee, Wisconsin / USA; www.johnsoncontrols.com) and Yanfeng Automotive Trim Systems have signed their global joint venture agreement – see Plasteurope.com of 13.01.2015. The new company, Yanfeng Automotive Interiors, will be the largest automotive interiors company in the world, said JCI, with revenues of approximately USD 8.5 bn with a backlog to reach USD 10 bn in the next few years. The venture is expected to begin operations in July 2015.

The company will be headquartered in Shanghai with more than 90 manufacturing, engineering, development and customer centres in the USA, Europe, China, Japan and India. Its product portfolio will include instrument panels, cockpit systems, door panels, and floor and overhead consoles.
