Swedish investor buys Belgian packaging producer Verbeeck
Swedish investment group Indutrade (Kista; www.indutrade.se/en) has acquired packaging solutions provider Verbeeck Packaging Group (Wilrijk / Belgium; www.verbeeck.com) for an undisclosed amount. The latter produces packaging for the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food and household industries, and posts annual sales of about EUR 5m.
Verbeeck is a long-term partner of fellow Indutrade member Aluglas (Uithoorn / The Netherlands; www.aluglas.com), and will now become part of Indutrade Benelux’s Special Products business area.
Last year the Swedish group purchased UK plastic ventilation products manufacturer Verplas (Dorset; www.verplas.co.uk), which is also part of its Special Products division – see Plasteurope.com of 27.11.2013.
