“Medica” and “Compamed” fairs held simultaneously in Düsseldorf in mid-November
A key subject at the upcoming “Compamed” (www.compamed.de) and “Medica” (www.medica.de) fairs will be personalised medical care. The two medical events will be held concurrently in Düsseldorf / Germany, but whereas the focus at “Medica” is on medtech exhibitors, that of “Compamed” is on suppliers to the medical industry. The former tradeshow will take place from 14-17 November, while the latter will be held from 14-16 November.

More than 5,000 exhibitors are expected at the twin-event, fair organiser Messe Düsseldorf (Düsseldorf / Germany; www.messe-duesseldorf.de) said, adding that the two fairs represent the entire process chain and display the complete range of medical products, devices and instruments while simultaneously illustrating how the close collaboration between suppliers and producers spawns the development of new procedures, devices and products. A key theme will be personalised medicine, Messe Düsseldorf said, although the events will shed light on all the latest innovations across the medical field (for a more detailed overview of medical plastics, see Plasteurope.com of 05.09.2012).
A number of accompanying lectures will run alongside “Compamed”, including the “Compamed High-tech Forum”, where exhibitors can present themselves to the general public. As part of the forum, the German Industry Association for Microtechnology will host “High Tech for Medical Devices”. In addition, the event also will include the second “Compamed Suppliers Forum”, which will cover a range of topics from design and usability to innovative materials, manufacturing processes and quality assurance, among others.
