German distributor DK Kunststoff-Service (Bielefeld; www.dk-kunststoffe.com) has by its own account the exclusive rights to distribute Saudi International Petrochemical’s (Sipchem, Riyadh / Saudi Arabia; www.sipchem.com) “Meras” PBT to its customers in the Benelux region as well as several German states, including Bremen, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Saxony-Anhalt and Schleswig-Holstein.

The German distributor says Meras has good electrical and heat-resistant properties, high stiffness and strength as well as a good price-performance ratio. Among other things, polybutylene terephthalate is used for electrical components, plugs, connecting elements, extremely rigid components and casings in the electrical, medical, engineering, automotive and household goods sectors.
