CRODA
Additives for wood plastic composites launched at "Chinaplas"
Croda Polymer Additives (Goole, East Yorkshire / UK; www.croda.com/pa) has introduced a new line of specialty additives for wood plastic composites (WPC). The company said the “Incroflo” additives act as lubricants to allow increased throughput of WPC during processing by increasing flow rate and dispersion, enabling lower processing temperatures and pressures during manufacture. The products, which will be launched at the “Chinaplas" (www.chinaplasonline.com) plastics fair in Shanghai / China on 23-26 April, also act as a barrier between the WPC and the extruder to reduce wear, and optimise mechanical performance.
Croda will also exhibit at Chinaplas products from its newly acquired Croda Sipo manufacturing site in Mianyang City, Sichuan province / China – see Plasteurope.com of 12.09.2013. The company said the facility provides additional capacity across its range of specialty “Crodamide” additives and increases its proximity to customers in China and the Asia Pacific region.
